The one great need in the Body of Christ today is “KNOWLEDGE” based on God’s Word. The Lord spoke through the prophet Hosea and said:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected Knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” (Hosea 4:6)
This indictment is sad but true today.
The cry of the Lord that needs to be heard in America is to return to His Word. He has told us that His Word endures forever. Obedience to this cry must begin with God’s born again believers. We must feast on the manna from above and not the philosophy of this world’s wisdom. We have tried programs, promotions and side shows which have produced emotional results. It is time that we as God’s children develop intimacy with our Father which is nurtured only as we feast on His Word allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us.
A prayer to begin this spiritual pilgrimage
As you begin this spiritual pilgrimage our prayer for you are the words that Paul shared with the church at Colosse.
“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the Knowledge of His Will in all Wisdom and spiritual understanding; That you may walk worthy of the Lord fully pleasing Him being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the Knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:9-10)
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled!
THIS IS A PROMISE FROM JESUS.
